- •A change of clean, comfortable baby clothes with easy access to thighs and upper arms.
- •A light swaddle blanket or favourite soft toy to soothe your baby after the injection.
Managing Mild Side Effects at Home

- •Low-grade fever (up to 38°C / 100.4°F) and mild fussiness are normal body responses showing the immune system is working.
- •Continue frequent breastfeeding or fluid intake to keep your baby well-hydrated.
- •Apply a cool, damp cloth gently over the injection site if there is redness or mild swelling. Never massage or apply warm oil on the fresh injection site.
- •Only use pediatric paracetamol drops if recommended by the health worker with the exact dose based on current baby weight.
When to Seek Immediate Medical Attention
