Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
BabyPasa Blog ("we", "us", "our") runs blog.babypasa.com.np, a parenting and baby-care resource for Nepali families. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount collected automatically:
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address to send new-article updates.
- Comments: if you comment on a reel or article, we collect the name you enter, your comment, and — optionally — your email address (email is not required and is never shown publicly).
- Push notifications: if you opt in to notifications, your browser provides an anonymous subscription token so we can send you alerts about new content. This token does not identify you personally.
- Automatically: like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security, performance, and aggregate analytics.
- On your device only: we use your browser's local storage to remember things like which reels you've seen, reels you've liked, and where you left off reading. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us as personal data.
How we use your information
- To send the newsletter and content notifications you asked for.
- To display and moderate comments, and to protect against spam and abuse.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't show third-party advertising.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted third-party providers to run the site. These may process limited data on our behalf, and each operates under its own privacy policy:
- An email service — to send our newsletter and email notifications and store subscriber emails.
- A push-notification service — to deliver the notifications you opt in to.
- A hosting, security, and analytics provider — to serve the site securely and understand aggregate traffic.
- A spam-filtering service — to check comments for spam.
- Embedded media platforms — when you watch an embedded reel, the video loads directly from the external platform that hosts it, which may set its own cookies and collect data under its own policy.
Cookies and embedded content
We keep our own use of cookies minimal. However, the embedded videos (reels) are loaded from external media platforms, which may set third-party cookies when they load or when you play them. If you prefer to avoid these, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings, though some embedded content may not work.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Turn off notifications in your browser or device settings.
- Request access to or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (for example, your subscription or comments) by contacting us.
Data retention
We keep subscriber emails until you unsubscribe, and comments for as long as they remain on the site. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be highlighted on the site.
